The Fathers Forever Coalition was established after the Marriage and Family Alliance, Inc was awarded the Responsible Fatherhood Grant in February 2007. This grant supports the Responsible Fatherhood Initiative that seeks ".......to promote responsible fatherhood by funding programs that support healthy marriage activities, promote responsible parenting and foster economic stability."
The Fathers Forever Coalition was chosen as one of five Indiana organizations to receive annual funding for five years from the federally funded Responsible Fatherhood Initiative. Of the five recipient organizations in Indiana, the Lawrence County area is the smallest community to receive the grant award. Other recipient were from the Indianapolis, Evansville, Fort Wayne and Gary areas.
