Youth First of Washington County will serve as the coordinating agency for our community.  Youth First will be responsible for recruiting facilitators, setting program schedules, promoting programs, registering parents for programs, establishing a referral base and executing all other tasks related to the successful implementation of Fathers Forever Coalition programs.  Youth First will focus on working with youth and families across Washington County.  Through our referral base we specifically intend to target families who may already be struggling and are in search of support services.  We have established a partnership with our local probation and community service coordinators to give credit for community service hours to probationers who attend any of the Fathers Forever programs as well.  Programs will be provided as follows: Basic Computer Skills: Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 to 12 over the course of 4 weeks.  8 sessions.  Total Hours: 24 Location: Community Learning Center Family Works: Monday evenings from 6 to 8 over the course of 4 weeks.  4 sessions.  Total Hours: 8  Location: Community Learning Center 24/7 Dads: Tuesday evenings from 5 to 6:30 over the course of 8 weeks.  8 sessions.  Total Hours: 12  Location: Good Samaritan Inside Out Dads: Meets once a week for 8 weeks at the detention center.  Date and time set according to detention center’s request. Youth First is connected with a variety of referral services in our community from WIC to DCS to the local school systems.  The referral base receives monthly communication with updated program schedules.  When a referral is received the person is contacted within 24 hours to answer questions, clarify information and assist as needed.
